The Rivertones site redesign

I was approached by The Rivertones Harmony Chorus, a local barbershop singing group, to redesign their current website. A relatively small website to promote the group, I designed a new, fresher look to the site built on a fluid grid with media queries to provide responsiveness. I also implemented a Wordpress blog into the site and PHP contact form for booking and membership enquiries.

KMG SPORTS - Final Year Degree project

I created a web application for my final year degree project. The application is a design tool built in the HTML canvas API using the Kinetic.JS framework with the possibility for users to design t-shirts and logos from various image templates. A considerable amount of the application uses JavaScript code to interact with the canvas and allow users to dynamically add shapes, text and images, which can be edited via the user interface. The application utilises various technologies and software including the KineticJS Framework, Codekit, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sass, Mamp, Sublime Text Editor.

Work Experience

- The Idea Bureau (Taunton, Somerset) - Intern

Working as part of a team in a newly formed design agency. My responsibilities included coding up PSD templates, site maintenance and bug fixing. I used a combination of HTML, CSS and jQuery in my work with a considerable amount of time getting to grips with Sass to write well-structured stylesheets.

- Pizza Hut (Taunton, Somerset) – Back-of-house Staff

Working as part of the kitchen team in a busy restaurant environment. I was selected to represent my store in a nationwide competition having been recognised for high quality standards in work.
