I was approached by The Rivertones, a popular local male harmony singing group, to redesign their current website. This project provided me with the ability to showcase my front-end skills using a combination of HTML and CSS to produce a clean and simplisitic design whilst providing the group with a modern, slick and professional image.

The project allowed me to test my responsive design knowledge for the first time using media queries to establish design breakpoints for a wide variety of device screen resolutions. In addition to this, i set up a wordpress blog on the site to allow the client to maintain and publish a latest news and articles section which would be viewed by members of the group and visitors of the site alike.

Visitors of the site are able to enquire about membership or booking the group via a contact from which utilises PHP and AJAX.

The final year of my degree course involved the design and development of KMG-SPORTS, a web application to design t-shirt and logo templates in the browser. The application uses the HTML5 canvas API to render the graphics of the design tool on screen. This project allowed to enhance my client-side programming skills with frequent use of JavaScript as well as the JavaScript framework jQuery.

This project also allowed me to get to grips with Sass, a CSS extension language designed to make CSS code more maintainable and extend its functionality. I used various components of sass throughout the project including nesting of selectors, mixins for re-usable segments of code and partials to seperate my css into specific modules.
